Training approach

Experiential learning

Our trainings are based in experiential learning and combine methods that engage participants on the level of heart (emotions), head (thinking and concepts) and hands (practical experience). As trainers we are not here to deliver you the right answers, but rather to support a group process that brings out the collective wisdom present. To support that process we will share some tools and frameworks that have been valuable to us, in our personal lives as well as in our work. 

Practical

The main thread of our trainings weaves together different aspects of what you might call “sustainable activism”. We organise both longer courses looking at different aspects within the course of one training event or shorter courses that focuss on one aspect, for example emotional resilience or resilient organising. We also organise trainings around specific topics or methodologies, such as white allyship, self-defence, Theatre of the Oppressed or the Work that Reconnects. 

Diversity

We offer both trainings that are mixed (open to participants from all backgrounds) or that are open to specific groups, such as women* (women, trans, non-binary and intersex people), LGBTQI or BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color).

We work with a solidarity economy, so please “give what you can, take what you need”. Occasionally we’re able to offer funded places, where your full costs are covered.
